Mizanur Rahman Azhari (born 26 January 1990) is a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, educator, international Islamic speaker and social reformer. He was born in Demra, Dhaka district. Mizanur Rahman Azhari invited the people of Bangladesh to Islam.

He is widely admire and at the same time criticize for his eloquent Islamic discourse, his general discourse for the youth of Bangladesh. In various discourses, he claims to be a moderate Islamic commentator.

The first half of life

Mizanur Rahman Azhari was born on 26 January 1990 in Demra Police Station, Dhaka District. His ancestral home is in Paramtala village of Muradnagar in Comilla district. Mizanur Rahman Azhari grew up in Dhaka. Her father was a madrasa teacher and her mother was a housewife.

He studied in madrasa from his childhood. He later received a scholarship to Al-Azhar University. His name is Mizanur Rahman. However, the name ‘Azhari’ has been add to his name due to his studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.

Mizanur Rahman got marriage on January 29, 2014. He has two daughters.

Education is life

Mizanur Rahman Azhari, son of Kriti of Paramatla village in Muradnagar, Comilla, passed the entrance examination in 2004 with 5 GPA. Bangladesh Madrasa got Gelden GPA-5 in Alim examination in 2006. He ranks in the top merit list. Board of Education

In 2006, he was rank 1st among thousands of Qawmi and Alia Madrasa students in the Egyptian government’s scholarship examination conduct by the Islamic Foundation. Odhikar went to Egypt to graduate from Al-Azhar University.

From there he passed Honors from Tafsir and Quranic Science Department in 2012 with 80% CGPA.

After 5 years of education in Egypt, he became a gardener. He decided to do postgraduate and MPhil and PhD from International Islamic University of Malaysia.

In 2013, he moved to Malaysia. In 2016, he completed his postgraduate and MPhil from the Department of Quran and Sunnah Studies at the same university. His CGPA in Masters was 3.62 out of 4.

The subject of his research was “Human Embryology in the Holy Quran: A Comparative Analysis between the Interpretations of Tantawi Jawhari and Jaglul Najjar.” 01997 fofa 903 was nominate as a PhD candidate in the university. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Human Behavioral Characteristics in the Holy Quran: An Analytical Study. Note that his MPhil and PhD research medium was English.

He also participated in the IELTS exam and scored 8.5 out of 9 and also scored 8.5 in the speaking section.

Career

Azhari started his career in 2010 with Islamic Ghazal and Kirat. He later joined an Islamic program on ATN Bangla TV. He started his career in early 2015 through Waz-Mahfil. Baishakhi has done a program on television titled ‘Islam and beautiful life’.

Popularity

Despite adhering to the teachings of Islam, he gained popularity in a short period of time among the Muslims of Bangladesh, especially among the Muslim youth, due to his contemporary presentation and his simple and scholarly discussions on the Qur’an and Hadith. Through him many of his followers were convert to Islam. A large crowd of ordinary worshipers and youths can be seen in his tafsir mahfil.

Criticism

He was criticized in the media in January 2020 when 12 Indian Hindus came to Bangladesh on illegal visas and converted to Islam. His mahfil has been banned more than once in different places for making anti-national remarks. In January 2020, an MP in Bangladesh’s parliament claimed that he had made anti-national remarks.

At the same time, the current Minister of Religion of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, has called for ‘Sayedee to be born at home’, calling it a ‘product of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’ and saying action would be taken against him.

Research

After graduation, he decided to pursue MPhil and PhD from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He also finished MPhil in 2016. The subject of his research was ‘Human Embryology in the Holy Quran’. He was then nominee as a PhD candidate in the same university.

He is pursuing a PhD in Human Behavioral Characteristics in the Holy Quran and Analytical Studies. His MPhil and PhD medium was English. He participated in the IELTS test with a score of 8.5 out of 9 bands and 8.5 band in the speaking section.
