Jason Ray Biography-Jason Jonathan Roy (born 21 July 1990) is a South African-born English cricketer who has played for England in One Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) cricket. In domestic cricket, he has represented Surrey and has played in several Twenty20 leagues in the Indian Premier League, including the Gujarat Lions, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Born in South Africa, Roy moved to England as a child. He made his T20I debut in 2014, his ODI debut in 2015, and played for the Test team in 2019. He was part of the England squad that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Roy plays as a right-handed opening batsman. In the 2022 IPL auction, Roy was bought by the Gujarat Titans. However, he later withdrew from the 2022 IPL before the start of the tournament, citing the challenge of staying in the bubble of the tournament for a long time.

In September 2008, Roy was select for the ECB Elite Player Development Squat by participating in a triangular tournament against University Sport South Africa and Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Universities.
